CODE VEIN II

CODE VEIN II: Everything Fans Want to See in the Next Soulslike Anime RPG

Ever since CODE VEIN carved out its own space in the Soulslike genre, fans have been eagerly waiting to see what could come next. While CODE VEIN II has not been officially confirmed yet, interest in a sequel remains incredibly strong—and for good reason. The original game blended challenging combat, deep character customization, and anime-style storytelling in a way few games have managed to replicate.

One of the biggest hopes for CODE VEIN II is an expanded and more reactive world. The first game’s post-apocalyptic setting had strong atmosphere, but many players want larger, more interconnected environments similar to classic Souls titles. A sequel could take this further with semi-open areas, hidden routes, and more meaningful exploration rewards.

Combat is another area ripe for improvement. CODE VEIN already offered fast-paced action and flexible “Blood Code” builds, but a sequel could introduce smarter enemy AI, more weapon variety, and deeper skill synergies. Refining boss design—making fights more dynamic and less predictable—would also go a long way in elevating the experience.

Storytelling is where CODE VEIN II could truly shine. Fans loved the emotional character arcs and companion system, so expanding companion interactions, branching narratives, and meaningful choices could add serious replay value. A darker, more mature storyline would also fit perfectly with the game’s tone.

Whether CODE VEIN II is announced soon or still years away, the demand is clearly there. If Bandai Namco decides to return to this universe, a sequel has the potential to become one of the standout anime Soulslike RPGs of its generation.
